Jonestown documentary

I watched a documentary over the weekend at this theater which is really close to my apartments. What I found out is that they almost exclusively play documentaries and independent films which I'm a big fan of. Last Sunday, I saw "Jonestown, The life and death of Peoples Temple". It was very interesting and freaky at the same time. I definitely learned a lot about Jim Jones and the cult he created. One thing that was great about him is that he was very much against racism and stood up for the rights of the colored people. In the end, he had all the members of his church commit suicide by drinking Kool aid mixed with cyanide. And by virtue of that gave rise to the phrase drinking the Kool aid. The movie has a lot of real footage, from his sermons at the church, to their little village in Jonestown, Guyana. The shooting scene of the congressman is real. I highly recommend it...

Khalid, don't be fooled by Stanley Nelson's fraudulent "documentary". It is pure cult apologist propaganda.
