Junaid's visit...

This last weekend was crazy busy. My buddy Junaid came over Thursday night from Philly. And left Tuesday morning. Even though it was painfully cold outside all weekend, we were out and about so much so that he got sick after all the excursion. We started out on Friday evening after work by a visit to the Prudential Tower in downtown Boston, it's the second tallest building here. The view from up there was really nice, and the city looks really pretty from altitude. For dinner we went to an Afghani restaurant by the name of Ali Baba. It was very expensive, yet the food was average. To top it off, we went to Tangierino for Shisha later that evening. It was nice and relaxing smoking Tuffa7tain all nice and warm inside while it was like -4 outside. Saturday was devoted to rock climbing. Myself, Junaid and this other friend drove down to New Bedford, about 50 miles south of Boston. Rock climbing can be scary at first especially if you have height phobia, but I overcame my fear of heights and it turned out to be a lot of fun and a great workout. I'm still sore. The place where we went is called Carabiner's and it's the highest indoor climbing wall in the US, and second in the whole world. Apart from all the fun, I learned a few things, for example how to tie a couple of different kinds of knots and what is belaying. It is a great workout and we were starvin' like Marvin by the time we got done. We ended up going to a desi place called Madina Market for dinner that evening. Even though we were all sore and tired, still we ended up going to the movies later in the night, we saw The Last king of Scotland. It was pretty good, Forest Whittaker really deserves an award for his role as Idi Amin. Let's see... on Sunday we drove to Cape Cod and saw the Atlantic Coast. It was a pretty scenic drive. Cape Cod is sandwiched between the Atlantic shoreline and the bay. It's weird seeing ice on the beach, the beaches here are quite quaint. We drove to the tip of Cape Cod, this town called Provincetown, the town was pretty dead at this time of the year, but it was still pretty country. We had some delicious Fish n' Chips at a local place Clem and Ursie's. The fish is supposed to be really fresh there being right on the Atlantic Coast.

Like I said, this weekend was crazy busy but I had tons of fun. Monday was Ashura, so we fasted during the day, and just went out for dinner in the evening. I went to bed at 7 cause I was dead tired. Junaid left Tuesday morning to NYC and eventually will be going to Canada. Now, I need a weekend just to relax and recover from all of this :)
