I was talking to my friend the other day and I told her my plans for this past weekend, and she goes have you stayed home any weekend since you moved to Boston? Actually, maybe a couple :) Seems like I've been on an extended vacation here in Boston. So, this last weekend started out with hanging out with some of my friends friday after work. We stumbled upon a really nice seafood joint in Peabody, little north of Boston. It was probably the best fish and chips I've eaten here in the Boston area, and you know there's a lot of competition in seafood here. Saturday morning, I went for jogging along Charles after more than a month since it's been quite frigid here. In the afternoon, I ended up going to the Kebab Factory for a friend's going away get together. So, I pigged out there. In the evening, there was a lecture at the Burlington masjid, which turned out to be pretty far from Cambridge, at least for me since I don't have a car :( It was interesting getting there first on the subway, then on the bus and finally walk a couple blocks. The lecture was alright, but what's interesting is that when we got out, it was snowing pretty hard. Sunday morning, myself and a friend took the ferry ride to the Nantucket island, an hour away from the coast of MA on the express ferry. It's a nice place with a lot of small town charm. We had crab cakes at a local joint and just walked around and played tourists, took pictures etc. It would've been more fun if it was a little warmer. Can't believe it's the end of march and it's still below zero. A fun weekend for sure, but I'm dead tired and I know next week is not gonna be fun, since I've been put on Production Support til next Friday, in addition to my usual stuff.
