The summer travel season started for me on the 26th of May, right after my last day at work on Friday. I got to Wichita on the 27th, the Sunday cause my connecting flight canceled in Chicago due to bad weather. I was really anxious to see all my friends since it's been six months since I moved to Boston. As expected, Wichita was a lot of fun. Day after day of just eating, smoking Shisha, sleeping and hanging out with my home boys :) I left Wichita today for Saudia and will get there Insha Allah on the 7th of June after stops in Paris, Amsterdam and Dubai. As I write this post 33,000 feet in the air on my way to Paris, I feel excited about all the travel even though I'm tired and really annoyed by the person sitting in front of me cause he keeps moving every few minutes and my laptop screen is moving with him. I seem to be more excited about getting to Saudia and seeing my family than Paris etc, but I'm sure once I hit the place, I'll put my explorer face on and will sleep only enough to recuperate and spend most of the time outside.
On a different note, I'm convinced that all the US carriers suck! I'm on American and there's no personal screens, in flight entertainment is horrible, only two movies being shown and I don't even recognize them. Food was average to say the least. The next leg of my travel is with Emirates which will be a first timer for me.
