May 25th was my last day at work with Saber and the State of MA. Yesterday my Lead threw a lunch in my honor, sounds pretty good, huh? :) We went to our favorite Montien, I wanted to have the Mango Chicken Curry one last time before I head out back to Wichita. I finished my contract just one week shy of six months. Time flies cause I can vividly remember my first night in Boston when I checked in my hotel room and felt crappy as hell. But I fell in love with Boston, I really did. I made some friends and with them did some of the coolest things, such as hiking, snow mobiling, kayaking, and of course sky diving :) I will miss Boston for the following and more: Halal shawarmas and falafel sandwiches at 3 in the morning, not having a car for the first time ever in the US and not missing it at all, the accessibility of the whole city by the awesome public transportation, the glorious T, nice a** stores on Newbury and shopping in general, jogging along the Charles River and the Esplanade, out of this world sea food joints such as the Daily Catch, cheap and fast Desi food, ISB in Cambridge and the Whole Foods on the way to the mosque, the hammock in the living room of my apartment and the spectacular view from my bedroom and the SkyRoom, the Starbucks on Tremont St. which was the place to caffeinate in the afternoon, Shisha at Tangierino's especially Diana mix.
Beantown! I will miss you A LOT!! I have no idea where I'll end up next when I get back from my extended vacation. I'm keeping my options open, we'll see what happens Insha Allah.
